Una collaborazione per la tracciabilità degli agrumi dolci

Nel 2020 è stato avviato un progetto pilota di collaborazione per la tracciabilità degli agrumi in collaborazione con Citrus Australia, Agriculture Victoria, Mildura Fruit Company, Nu Leaf IP e Trust Provenance.

The project

  • Nel 2020 è stato avviato un progetto pilota di collaborazione per la tracciabilità degli agrumi in collaborazione con Citrus Australia, Agriculture Victoria, Mildura Fruit Company, Nu Leaf IP e Trust Provenance.
  • L’industria australiana degli agrumi ha superato la soglia dei 540 milioni di dollari di esportazioni nel 2018-19, con un record di 304.000 tonnellate di agrumi di alta qualità esportati. Lo scopo del progetto pilota era quello di far crescere e salvaguardare ulteriormente questa preziosa esportazione australiana.
  • Il bilancio di Laava Smart FingerprintⓇ per il progetto pilota: etichettatura di 205.450 sacchi in rete preconfezionati da 1 kg e 22.815 cartoni da 9 kg.

Objectives

Citrus Australia’s decision to engage with Agriculture Victoria in this traceability pilot program for horticulture supply chains was borne out of necessity. The scope and audacity of IP theft costs individual citrus businesses and the wider citrus industry millions of dollars every year.”

The pilot was funded by The Victorian government, as part of the $8 million Growing Food and Fibre Markets (GFFM) program.

The program is aimed at helping producers, industry and the whole supply chain to:

  • better capture export market opportunities
  • strengthen biosecurity and food safety capability, focusing on product assurance and integrity systems
  • expand Victoria’s global agrifood trade footprint
  • build upon our reputation as an exporter of premium quality food and fibre products.
